WRITERS WORKSHOPS TO BECOME A PUBLISHED ANTHOLOGY
19th Jan 2010

What makes these workshops different is that we are intending to produce a published anthology from the stories produced here.

This is a series for people who have already completed writing courses or are at a proficiency level to be published but are unsure of where to go to from here. We will have sessions with a sales publisher to teach attendees how to present their work to publishers and other techniques to increase their chances of being published. Meanwhile, the top stories, poetry & scripts produced from these workshops will be made into a published anthology.

Attendees just need to attend each session, do the homework and produce a piece of writing that is ready for publishing or can be tweaked and edited.

Although this series is in the Melbourne CBD, we want to be inclusive of all people from multi-cultural backgrounds and all suburbs.

The Fellowship of Australian Writers is trying to develop Writers Hubs within various suburbs of Melbourne where access to arts & culture facilities are often lacking and funding opportunities scarce.

We want to cultivate small writers groups in suburbs who can be creatively, professionally & emotionally supportive through the writing process.

We have just opened the Hive Creative Centre in Box Hill & have another Hive Creative Centre planned for the Bayside area.

Venue: Ross House, Flinders Lane, Melbourne 3001.

Dates: 27th & 28th March, 24th & 25th April & 29th & 30th of May 2010.

Launch Party: 26th March: Venue T.B.A
