Applications are invited to audition for the Graduate Theatre Ensemble 2009
27th Oct 2008
Students in the Graduate Theatre Ensemble undertake a one year intensive program of coursework towards Honours or Graduate Studies in Theatre.

In association with The Centre for Drama and Theatre Studies the course offers specific skills training workshops in acting, singing, movement (Feldenkreis), voice (story telling and specialist vocal techniques), as well as coursework in research methodologies, dramatic theory and criticism.

Professionally presented theatre productions enable the practical application of these skills, culminating in performances on and off campus, in commercial theatres and on tour.

Individualised tuition takes place in a small group environment from professional teachers and directors, under the guidance of Artistic Director, Peter Oyston. Students are integrated into the academic life of the Centre with meetings and seminars developing reflection and critical writing about their performance practice

For information and to arrange an audition please contact Dr Fiona Gregory,Honours Coordinator on 03 9905 9206 or Fiona.Gregory@arts.monash.edu.au
