AT THE CUTTING HEDGE…
As part of NEXT WAVE06 & the Youth Program for Commonwealth Games Festival Melbourne 2006, Red Cabbage Collective will be creating a human maze at the Melbourne Museum on Sunday 26th March, 2006 as part of the closing event. AND WE NEED YOU!
We are looking for performers & production assistants (16 & over) to help make this event happen. Be one of 350 ‘Hedgeheads’ or get behind the scenes to create the vast army of weaving foliage to form a maze that the audience are invited to enter. A silent sea of green will engulf an Autumn Melbourne Sunday in this unique performance event.

Hedge-mony (The Maze) is a visual spectacle that questions the notion of hierarchies and systems of power. A beautiful, faceless army inhabit a public space to create a self contained world oblivious to the surrounding realities & environment.

Red Cabbage Collective are a group of Melbourne artists seeking to perform moments of beauty beyond traditional theatrical contexts; creating outdoor theatrical events both humorous and sublime.

Hedge-mony (The Maze) has been developed in association with the
Next Wave Festival, Art Play and Australia Council for the Arts.

The event will take place outside Melbourne Museum on
Sunday 26th March 2006.
You will need to be available for rehearsal:
Saturday 25th February or Saturday 4th March &
Sunday 19th March (all required).

Deadline: 26th Mar 2006
