Blue Chair Theatre was founded in 2001 by Allan Kerr and Kylie Trask. The company, which produces original theatre as well as fresh interpretations of classical works, has a simple aim - to entertain the audience.

Blue Chair Theatre has staged 14 shows (and one film) in the last five years and can lay claim to be being the most prolific producers of original theatre in Melbourne. The commitment to new works will continue into 2007 with exciting productions from writers all over Australia.

 

Blue Chair Theatre has received rave reviews from audiences and critics for their sold-out shows that have graced most of Melbourne's Theatres, including Chapel off Chapel, Theatreworks, Gasworks, MIPAC, Trades Hall Arts and North Melbourne Town Hall.
