Andrea Keller is a Melbourne-based composer, pianist and improviser. She has released three albums as leader featuring her original compositions and arrangements.
Recent awards include winner of the inaugural MCA/Freedman Foundation Jazz Fellowship, ARIA Award for Best Jazz Album 2002, Bell Award for Best Australian Contemporary Jazz Album 2003 and the ARIA Award for Best Jazz Album 2003. “Keller is a very accomplished pianist indeed with a sure touch, deft technique and strong improvisational ideas…This is an extremely important and visionary project in the overall output of Australian new music.” Mark Isaacs, music forum, 2003. “one of this country’s most daring and fascinating composers...” Review of Angels and Rascals by Leon Gettler, The Age, May 5, 2005.
