Black Hole Theatre
Black Hole Theatre Inc was formed in 1993 in Melbourne by Paul Newcombe, Cliff Dolliver and Rod Primrose to create cutting edge visual theatre, using puppetry and animation.

The first production And the Ass Saw the Angel, (adapted from the Nick Cave book) was followed by Punter, 100 Hours 100 Paintings, various short pieces, and Caravan.

After acclaimed Melbourne seasons in 2002-03, Caravan toured Europe, Hong Kong, Ireland and the UK in 2003-04 with great success.

“…compelling…uncanny, unnerving, spookily persuasive…brilliantly risqué puppetry – for adults only.” The Herald

“What’s surprising is the amazing depth of expression Black Hole’s expert puppeteers manage to convey. In addition to lust and rage, we also get glimpses of convincing fear and despair.” The Irish Times

New work premiering in 2006 include an adult black comedy In the Beginning...uhmmmm...
Black Hole Theatre's first work for children will premiere in May 2007 - SealsKin, based on a myth about selkies, seals who become human.
