Northcote playwright Liza Dezfouli and sad-core country crooner t.k. bollinger (Fairfield) combine their talents to create works that are honestly innovative. More than musicals or cabaret, their productions make for unusual and deeply satisfying theatre. Their current production is Festina Lente/Hasten Slowly.
Liza Dezfouli is the writer and producer of Fat Chick (2004) and Marj's Torchbearers (Polyglot, 2006 and Gasworks, Melbourne Fringe, 2006).
Other productions include Provocation (Gasworks, 2005) and numerous stagings of her short plays, including shows in Short and Sweet.
t.k. bollinger has an established career as a singer/songwriter and appears regularly at blues/country/jazz festivals. His new cd is on its way.
Their next collaboration is a musical entitled Holding Ned, the story of a not-so-dysfunctional family with a very big secret.
