Malthouse Theatre aims to explode the narrow definition of theatre as narratively determined prewritten plays. The CUB Malthouse complex houses three venues – from the 500 seat Merlyn Theatre and 200 seat Beckett Theatre, to the brand new 100 seat Tower Theatre, a vibrant café and bar, and Melbourne’s most iconically housed scenic workshop.
