Seeking Directors for French plays 2012 and beyond

We are looking for directors for 2012 and beyond.

Director may or may not be French-speaking. Translations of French plays available and English surtitles assist.

Plays are generally in early May (mid-Feb auditions, rehearsals start straight after) and late August (mid-Jun auditions, rehearsals start straight after).

Always more female candidates than male attend and rehearsals are 2-3 times a week for 2-3 hours each, from mid-Feb or mid-Jun to opening.

Requirements:

low budget/innovative
follow producer’s guidelines
set must be light and symbolic, as there are issues in the theatre – Collingwood College Theatre
original French texts only

Fee = generally $1,000 inc GST (if applicable), MFT is unfunded.
