New Blood 2012 - Creative Development Program
Deadline: 27/02/2012
Free space for your art to grow!
Are you a performing artist? Do you have a piece of theatre in the pipeline? Do you want to show your work to audiences? Do you need free space to rehearse and create your work? New Blood may be the answer.
In 2012, the Kingston Arts Centre in Moorabbin is looking to support independent performing artists in the creation of an estimated two new Australian works.
New Blood is all about providing an opportunity and support for performers to create new work which they can take out into the arts community. Applications will be accepted from any performing arts medium including, but not restricted to, theatre makers, circus artists, dancers, musicians and puppeteers.
Kingston Arts Centre has a versatile black box theatre which it would like to offer to independent performing artists for use to facilitate the development of new Australian work.
Between March – November 2011, the successful applicants will receive access to a rehearsal space and may receive additonal support.
The program is currently undergoing review and more details, as well as an application form will be available soon.
The Performing Arts Coordinator welcomes any questions and expressions of interest and can be contacted on 9556 4458 or marisa.cesario@kingston.vic.gov.au.
Call for expressions of interest from closes Monday 27 February 2012.
