Explore New Works at La Mama
It's been an exciting week at La Mama, with the presentation of more new works from our Explorations series.
The last of our Week 2 offerings, Cyclo, finishes tonight. A magical dance celebration of the joys and struggles, dreams and delusions of life. Don't miss it! De Stroyed opens tomorrow night. Simone de Beauvoir enthusiasts will find much to enjoy in this compelling theatrical monologue – frank yet sensitive, disarming yet touching, de Beauvoir's most complex thought processes are deftly captured by performer Jillian Murray and director Suzanne Chaundy.
Morbid Porn explores secrets of a different kind. What do you do when you're home alone? Where do you draw the line between reality and fantasy? This raw account of intimacy and voyeurism, performed by Kelly Ryall and Tamara Rewse, offers some original and lively answers to these questions.
