Alto Productions

Formed in 1996, Alto Productions is a diverse company specialising in music based projects.

From producing stage shows to supplying musical ensembles to enhance the atmosphere of exhibitions and events, Alto Productions has achieved recognition for its high level of performance and professionalism nationally.

Artistic Director, Sophie Kesoglidis, began her career working as a viola player with Melbourne, West Australian, Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras.

Since 2005 she has broadened her creative output to write, produce, narrate and direct various stage shows with a music theatre/ cabaret core.

In 2005, Tango’s Violin premiered in a sellout season in Melbourne at The Famous Spiegeltent. This show features award-winning tango dancers, a vocalist, a tango band, full lighting design and scenic artwork and was directed by the former Artistic Director of Perth Theatre Company, Alan Becher.

Tango’s Violin has since been performed in Perth (Her Majesty’s), Melbourne (The Clocktower), Albury (Entertainment Centre) and a few seats short of a sellout in Sydney’s City Recital Hall.

“A hugely entertaining evening ... Superb ... Simply incredible” William Yeoman - The West Australian
